Red radish microgreens

A real radish bite on a magenta stem that brightens any plate.

Red radish microgreens are young radish plants with a peppery bite, green to burgundy leaves and bright magenta stems. I sell them in a 50 g pack for $8, and they’re one of the four greens in every Super Pack, harvested on Monday, packed in Richmond and at your door in Vancouver on Tuesday.

What red radish microgreens taste like

Peppery, like a fresh red radish, with a clean finish. The heat comes first and fades quickly, so it wakes up a dish without burning.

They’re the most colourful green in the Super Pack. The magenta stems are the variety’s own colour, and they show up on any plate.

How to use red radish microgreens

Treat them like a seasoning that crunches. A pinch goes a long way, and they’re best raw.

  • On tacosA pinch on fish, chicken or bean tacos, with a squeeze of lime.
  • On avocado toastThe pepper balances the creamy avocado. Add salt and lemon.
  • In noodlesOn cold sesame noodles or a bowl of ramen, added at the end.
  • With eggsOn a breakfast sandwich or a plate of devilled eggs.
  • In saladsMixed into a green salad when you want some heat without raw onion.
  • Next to rich foodBeside a burger, a curry or anything creamy, where a little pepper helps.

It pairs well with pea shoots: the sweet pea softens the pepper on tacos or a bowl of noodles.

How to keep them fresh

Put the box in the fridge as soon as it’s in. In the fridge, in the closed box, they stay fresh for up to 10 days. Keep them dry, and rinse them just before you eat them.

More tips are in my guide to storing and using microgreens.

What’s in a pack

A single pack is 50 g of red radish microgreens for $8, in a clear box. Red Radish is also one of the four greens in every Super Pack, beside broccoli, sunflower and pea shoots: 140 g for the whole box, $25 on its own or $20 a box on the weekly plan.

Delivery is included, no tax is added, and the minimum order for delivery is $20. Any three single packs reach the minimum, or add a Super Pack.

How it gets to you

Harvested on Monday, weighed and packed in Richmond, and at your door on Tuesday, during the day, anywhere in Vancouver west of Knight Street. You don’t need to be home: I leave your box at your door.

Orders close at 8 pm on the Sunday before each Tuesday up to the Nov 24, 2026 box, and at 9 am on the Monday before each Tuesday from the Dec 1, 2026 box. Checkout shows your Tuesday before you pay.

Allergens

Radish is in the same plant family as mustard. If you have a mustard allergy, ask your doctor before you eat it.

I pack every green in the same place, so any pack may have a trace of another green, mustard included.

Questions

Are radish microgreens spicy?

They’re peppery, about as hot as a fresh red radish, and the bite fades fast. If you like it milder, mix them with broccoli or pea shoots.

Why are the stems pink?

Red radish microgreens have naturally magenta stems. The colour is the variety’s own, not a dye.

Which part do I eat?

All of it. Everything in the box is the leaf and the stem, ready to eat once you rinse it.

Where can I buy radish microgreens in Vancouver?

From me, online. I deliver 50 g packs of red radish microgreens for $8 to homes in Vancouver, west of Knight Street, every Tuesday. Add a Red Radish pack in the shop on my homepage. The minimum order for delivery is $20, so order at least three single packs, or add a Super Pack, to reach it. Delivery is included.
